Father's Day '09

9 month well child

We took our little lady to her 9 month well-child check up on Friday afternoon. She weighed in at 20lbs 3 oz. (50-75th percentile), 29 inches tall (75th percentile) and her head is 44 cm (50-75th percentile). All in all she is very healthy and developmentally on the "normal" track. We didn't have to get ANY shots this time, which was a welcome relief! We are so thankful for a healthy baby!!

9 month photo preview
We had Leah's 9 month pictures taken last week and just got a preview of a few pictures that were posted on the photographer's blog....http://www.marc-photography.net/blog/....scroll down a little ways and you can see the first few photos. They do GREAT work and we're so excited to see the rest of them when they're finished being edited. Enjoy!!

She's MOBILE!
Leah and I went to visit my Grandparents on Saturday morning as we often do. I started laying out her toys as usual but she suprised us all by crawling towards them!! She has been trying to go forward for about two weeks but always ended up going backwards. (which was super cute as well!)
She has been practicing a lot at her new skills - and is now a pro - I mean, it doesn't look very easy to crawl while wearing a dress. What a lady!!
She is becoming a very observant and quick learner. She is starting to mimic facial expressions especially her "angry face", and also is starting to copy certain gestures like clapping her hands together (or trying, even though she misses 90% of the time). We are having so much fun discovering the world through her eyes.
Leah is also becoming a wiggly sleeper. Plenty of times we check on her at night she is in very different positions than we put her down, her newest favorites are side and tummy sleeping. Hopefully this will encourage her to sleep through the night once in a while. :)

Swinging Along

I just can't handle this face...she is just so scrumptious!
And of course, we had to capture the giggles on video.
There will be many more trips to Timbertown in our future, guaranteed!
