nice weekend

The weather so GREAT on Saturday, so we took our first family bike ride. This is Leah not sure what to expect out of this interesting cart looking contraption. She did great! We visited the Little's house for a bit - and played with all the kiddo's!! FUN - thanks for letting us crash the party!
And of course, as Michigan weather does, it was super cold the next day...a lady at Rick's work made a BUNCH of really cute little socks - so here is a picture of one of the pairs. Some had beads, some had the floss. They're adorable. THANK YOU KIM!

Last but not least...the sweater. Leah's Great Grandma (or GG) made this sweater for one of our shower presents and it fits right now. My favorite is that the hood goes into the point. And I promise that she doesn't ALWAYS have her pacifier in...it just so happened that all of these 3 pictures, did. I'll be more conscious of that from now on! :)

Casual Friday

Leah's a in a BIG GIRL car seat! She seems to be comfortable in it - as she fell asleep on one of our first outings in it. It's hard to get used to, but it's nice not having 30 lbs of child + car seat to carry around everywhere now!!
Yes, I am in love with her outfit today. Jeans and a collared shirt. She was pretty excited about the nice weather that we're having, so bring on the t-shirts!!

And, we cannot forget the dinosaur sweatshirt. Her auntie Heather picked this little gem up a little while back. I remember thinking how HUGE it looked....

It fits now!! Thanks Heather, we LOVE it!

Happy to be home!

This wasn't Leah's actual Easter dress, but it is cute anyways - please excuse the drool - we feel as though she is teething and the drool just keeps coming...

Leah was so excited to get home back to all her fun toys!!

The Whole Clan

As I may have mentioned before, we all go out for din-din together once during vacation. Here is a good picture of all of us together. 15 total. Special!! :)

This is Leah and my (single) cousin Tom. She wanted to help him pick out what he was having for dinner. It was a great night!

Charleston Playdate

As many of you may know, my dad does a lot of work with WaterMissions International on water purifcation projects. They happen to be located in Charleston - just a few miles from where we stay. George III is the founder, he has a son George IV that also works there...and George V made his arrival last March. We thought it would be fun for Leah to have a playdate with George V....so he and his parents came over for a bit yesterday afternoon. They had a GREAT time playing - they may have even held hands for a brief moment. Too cute!!

Day 3/4

Yesterday and today brought lots of family fun and togetherness. Yesterday, Dad, Leah and I went to pick Rosemary up from the airport while the rest of the clan went on a tour of Cypress Gardens. I was so excited get Rosemary, that I was a bit clumsy and slammed my thumb in the car door. Officer Leo was very kind and bandaged me up and advised me to keep it elevated.
Then, every spring break, Grandpa O likes to take the whole family out for a nice dinner at our favorite spot, California Dreaming. We decided that Tuesday was a good night to do that, so we all caravaned into the city and enjoyed a GREAT dinner. After that, we all rode through the city for a refresher course of the historical houses and landmarks. Charleston is SUCH a rich city and I forgot how beautiful it was.
Today, we're hoping it gets up to 60 degrees so we can at least venture out for a walk or something later on.

Day 2, part 2

dining room tables are for eating....so we hear.
Naptime with Grandpa - but he SAYS that he wasn't actually sleeping and it was staged for photographic purposes....believe that if you wish. :)

Just cuz she was so cute at bath-time...there's a couple more pictures. Don't mind me - it was early in the am.

Spring Break - Day 2

Day # 2 - we love vacation! Leah got to take a bath in the kitchen sink this morning after eating breakfast with Ima and Grandpa.
How many computers can you count in this picture....there are 6 laptops in our condo right now. Apparently we need to stay connected to home life on vacation - shocking....
We all enjoy typing listening to the waves...ahhhh.

Sping Break -Day 1

Yesterday was a busy day of packing up Leah and my suitcase and getting ready for our big trip. Leah enjoyed the packing experience - and thought this was how she had to travel.

We left our house at 4 am - Leah was a TROOPER! Here she is getting ready for her first airplane right with Uncle Ky-Ky and Auntie Holly-hol. She did SO great on both our flights to Charleston. She slept for most of the time and enjoyed all the people watching in between. We are thankful for a smooth and safe trip!

Playtime

I love playtime.
